Frequently asked questions
Does Gerencialab come with occupational hygiene standards preloaded?
The system has a standards registry where you record the agents and exposure limits and use them for automatic result evaluation. The limit database is maintained by your lab, which is responsible for accreditation. During onboarding we help you build that registry with the insalubrity standard, the hygiene standards and the TLV reference.
Does the system issue the insalubrity report on its own?
No. Gerencialab organizes the field data and compares each result against the limits the lab registers as a reference. The decision on the insalubrity classification and the report signature stay with the technical manager, the engineer or the occupational physician. The system removes the manual work, it does not replace the technical lead.
How does assessment work where there is no internet signal?
The sampling app works offline. The hygienist records workstation, photos, conditions and readings in the field, and the system syncs everything when the phone is back online. It works the same at a mining face or a warehouse with no coverage: the data sits on the phone until it uploads.
Can several agents at the same workstation be evaluated, each with its own limit?
Yes. Each agent pulls the exposure limit linked to it. Noise compares by its hygiene standard, silica by gravimetry, a vapor by the TLV reference. You register each one once and the system applies the right one in each assessment.
Does the system control the holding time of dust samples?
The sample has a full history from collection at the workstation, recording who did what and when. That gives the lab the time basis to control each gravimetric analysis according to its method.
Does it import dosimeter and instrument results?
Yes, through import of results from instruments and spreadsheets. It is not real-time serial interfacing, it is import of the file generated by the dosimeter, the balance or the hygienist's spreadsheet.
