Does the app work with no internet signal at all?
It does. Opening work orders, recording sampling, taking photos, running the checklist and collecting the signature all happen offline. The data is saved on the phone and uploads when the network returns.
What if the signal drops during sync?
The sync is idempotent. If the connection drops, the app resumes from where it stopped once it reconnects, without duplicating samples or losing photos.
Do the photos store the sampling location?
Yes. Photos are geotagged and tied to the sampling event and the point, serving as evidence of where it was done.
Does the app replace a device wired to the analysis instrument in the field?
No. Mobile handles sampling, results and lookups. Results from instruments and spreadsheets enter the system through import, not through real-time serial reading.
Does the field tech need long training to use it?
No. The flow follows the sampling step by step, with a checklist and required fields guiding the entry. The person sampling already knows the process, the app just organizes it.
Can it track the tech’s fuel and per diem?
Yes. The tech logs the expense in the field, the advance is tracked in the system and everything ties into finance and into the sampling cost.
