Inspection and technical intake
A problem caught at the door costs minutes. The same problem found three stages later costs the whole run. Here a sample only enters the analytical queue after passing your check, with the protocol you designed for each sample type.
Each sample type has its own inspection protocol.
You create the inspection form that makes sense for your lab (temperature, vial integrity, volume and more). A sample runs the same protocol every time, with no criterion forgotten.
The scanner loads all the sample's data on the spot.
Scan the label and that is it: client, Work Order, service, all already there. No typing, no typos.
50 samples approved in one click.
A Work Order with 50 identical samples? One click approves them all at once, applying the protocol to every one. That saves hours on big campaigns.
You see when each sample was received and who inspected it.
Every inspection is logged with date, time and who did it. If you need to prove when a sample came in, it is there.
A non-conforming criterion does not slip by.
The form covers the criteria you defined. If one of them fails on arrival, it shows up in the inspection, not hidden until the analyst bumps into it too late.
Photo and note at the moment of receipt.
Record the sample's condition with a photo and a note the moment it arrives. The arrival state is documented before any analysis touches it.
The protocol is the same for the whole team.
Whoever receives the sample does not improvise the check from memory. Everyone follows the same form, so triage stays identical on the morning shift and the afternoon one.
Intake on a big campaign without becoming a bottleneck
Receiving 5 samples is easy. Receiving 200 on a campaign is where intake usually jams. Here it keeps pace with the volume.
Batch approval.
Identical samples on the same Work Order are approved together, in one click, with the same protocol applied to all.
Scanner instead of keyboard.
Each label read brings client, Work Order and service ready. The volume passes through intake with no typing queue.
Who did it stays logged.
Date, time and the person responsible for each inspection. Even in the rush of a campaign, triage stays traceable.
Frequently asked questions
Can I create different protocols per sample type?
You can. Each sample type has its own inspection form, with the criteria that make sense for it (temperature, volume, vial integrity and whatever you define).
Do I have to inspect sample by sample?
No. On a Work Order with 50 identical samples, one click approves them all applying the same protocol. You inspect one by one only when it makes sense.
Is the inspection recorded for audit?
It is. Every inspection stores date, time and who did it. If the auditor asks when a sample came in and who approved it, the answer is there.
What happens to a sample that arrives with a problem?
It does not advance to the analytical queue before you decide. The non-conforming criterion shows in the inspection, so you handle it at the door instead of finding it downstream.
Want to see the LIMS running with your lab's routine?
Book a demo and see it with your own data: the sample comes in by scanner, the QC comes back evaluated, the report comes out signed. No promises, you watch it work.
